PATIENT HISTORY
A 73-year-old widowed Caucasian female was brought by her daughter to the emergency department for a psychiatric evaluation. She was living with the daughter and had a 10-year history of Parkinson’s disease. Her resting tremors and bradykinesia were significant and had been treated with pramipexole. Two years before, the patient began exhibiting delusional thinking; she believed that her dead husband was still alive and cheating on her and that her home nursing aide was stealing her money. She also believed that people on television talked to her.
